RawFormatConverter
Note
The RawFormatConverter was introduced in ImageVault 5.21
The RawFormatConverter adresses an issue with conversion of some raw formats that incorrectly gains a color imprint when a conversion of the original image is created.
The RawFormatConverter is a workaround that can be activated in an ImageVault instance if the problem needs to be adressed.
The converter uses the embedded jpeg thumbnail instead of the original image and will not be affected by the underlying issue regarding incorrect reading of the raw image by the LeadTools software.
Problem is reported to LeadTools and the RawFormatConverter is only recommended to activate if you are being affected by the issue.
Image types affected
The RawFormatConverter will only process images of the following types.
- image/x-canon-cr
- image/x-canon-cr2
- image/x-nikon-nef
Activating
To activate the RawFormatConverter, head to the /Utility/MediaConverter and add a new converter.
